Today we had the pleasure of hosting a class from ITS Maker in Forlì at our headquarters, who spent the morning with us for a hands-on experience in the world of Fiorini Industries.
The visit began with a company presentation: we talked about our values, the products we manufacture every day, and how they fit into the HVAC, plumbing, and heat exchange sectors.
One of the key moments of the visit was a focus on the product lifecycle. Starting from the customer’s request, we explained how the configuration and quotation phases work, the role of the technical department, order management, production planning, and finally the operational departments—where quality and safety are absolute priorities at every stage.
After that, the group had the chance to see the production departments firsthand: from the machines to the processes. It’s always stimulating to show “live” what often remains abstract—materials, timelines, staff, inspections, safety.
To wrap things up, we enjoyed a convivial moment with a buffet offered to our guests.
Why these visits matter:
They build a bridge between the academic world and the industrial world, helping students understand what it truly means to “do business.”
They demonstrate that behind every product there is a great deal of work, organization, expertise, and innovation.
They’re also an opportunity for us—to engage with young people who may become future technicians, designers, or operators, and to understand what interests them, what they want to see, and what sparks their curiosity.
It was a valuable opportunity for exchange and learning—something Fiorini is always happy to repeat.
